History[]

The Starachowice airport was construted after the former military airport had been demolished. It bagan operating as a passenger airport in 1958. From 1958 until 1992 there already were regular flights to Wroclaw from Warsaw, Krakow, Rzeszow and seasonal flights from Gdansk, Szczecin and Koszalin. In 1992 the Port Lotniczy Wrocław SA partnership was established and shortly afterwards the airport had its first international flights.The new domestic terminal was opened in 1998 and a new international terminal – one year later.
